KENTUCKY HILLSIDE // FAMILY ADVENTURE SESSION
Laura has no idea I'm blogging her and her family. I can't wait for her to see this, and then correct me on all my spelling and grammar ;P
Laura was deemed my spirit animal, by our mutual friend Jenn, about a year ago when we first met. She's the only person that will ever get me to eat a peanut butter & swiss sandwhich-- and I entirely blame my amazon addiction on her. She's feisty and far too good at everything she does. Except hoverboarding. Hoverboard: 1 Laura: 0. Her lip color collection could paint this earth 50 shades of pink if you give her a couple days. Because of her I have now been to my first Pro Football game (Go Bengals!) and is absolutely the only other person I can share a shameless love for Spice Girls with.
She's also an amazing mom and one of the few people in this world I would honestly trust with my life. I could get way deeper but she wont like that so I'll leave it at that.
Just kidding I'm going deeper. I wouldn't be where I am right now typing this if it weren't for Laura. She made such a huge impact on my time spent in Cincinnati while traveling for Ideal Image. Even though most of our friends and family are in central Ohio, it's felt like home moving here because of Laura. Back in December, Allen & I decided to shift gears with our lifestyle & buy a house in Bellevue, KY. And how crazy that the house we decide to buy is RIGHT NEXT DOOR to Laura's Great Aunt Georgie?! Ehem, I mean ...Aunt Goergie. Don't say 'great' in front of her ;) Laura is flat out just an awesome person, drops everything for those around her and I'm pretty sure the world wouldn't go 'round without her.
This session was so cool - Laura and her kiddos are the best. A rocky hillside isn't their normal terrain; but Ella (5) and Miles (19 months) took this rocky, weedy, dusty hill like champs. And the day we did this, TIMEHOP pops up on Laura's phone with images from our first session together, marking one year from our first family session. We ironically planned another session exactly one year later! Happy Family Photo-Versary!
ill never forget an article or image laura has mentioned before - about kids and growing up. it's always stuck with me. its says, "there's going to be -a day- where you will stop picking up your baby." it sounds so simple, but if you really think about it.. its so deep, so true. we don't get a heads up, or a date, that our babies become kids. our kids become young adults. it just happens. time flies. i hope images like these help to remember how it felt when you still picked up your baby :)
I love lifestyle sessions. I'm here to capture why you're proud of your family - and with lifestyle sessions you get detailed images of what makes your family rock. Like Miles here, and his hilarious expression, giving a killer high-five.
This boy was all about his mama in this moment - i remember it so well ...and when I saw this image come across my screen, I died. Laura may argue that he's just scheming different ways to annoy her haha but regardless, Miles loves his mom.
